Zombies. Is there anything else that provides nerds with such unrelenting glee than zombies? The shuffling undead make us go wild, hence the constant stream of films and, more recently, video games featuring the living dead. They even managed to update the zombie movie; the film 28 Days Later introduced a newer, faster zombie to replace Romero’s creepy, shuffling monsters. Then of course, Valve made the hugely successful Left 4 Dead, introducing co-op to a genre littered with single-player games.
