Welcome all to twenty ten. I have a few goals I want to set for myself for the coming year.

1) New guide every 2 weeks. (I had previously said every week but that’s just not going to happen.)
2) Gaming podcast. My friends have been on me because they have SO many interesting things to say. We’ll see.
3) Go High Def. This will probably be the first thing I get done in 2010. Hopefully by Feb.
4) Upgrade the quality. I want to do more maps and added info to all guides.
5) Have SAVG be my MAIN source of income. 1-4 will hopefully lead to this.

All I want for Christmas is some very expensive recording devices!

We try not to be pushy about money here. If you click some ads or decide to donate then thanks because every little bit helps.

But there are a couple pieces of hardware we could really use to step up the quality of our guides so we are going to be running a X-Mas Donation Drive to help fund this site.

1) Black Magic Intensity Pro HDMI PCI-Express recorder. $200. This is going to allow us to record in actual HD at a sustained quality rate.
2) AX40 Audio System from Astro Gaming. $250. This is going to up the quality of the audio tracks we lay and also allow us to do some new things like podcasts.

I finally got a separate computer for encoding which free up an ASS-ton of time for guides. So in an effort to really push out the content for this site I’ve made myself a personal challenge to do a guide a week for 52 weeks. Starting with the first game released in 2010, Bayonetta, on January 5th.

Now I still another full time job so this is really an absurd challenge. But Semi-Monthly Personal Challenge sounds like of gay so 52 it is.

There are no rules. Just a goal.

Here is a general layout for the first month and Mass Effect 2 in a week is pretty crazy goal but we’ll see what happens. I’ll throw in a few short arcade games and call a DLC guide a full guide here and there I’m sure.

Had a computer failure that pushed me back on some guides a couple weeks. Got a new puter out of it so all is good and I am getting caught up.

Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack In Time – Principal filming is at about 90%. Should be done filming today.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – Doing Intel, achievements, and SpecOp guides and these should be done this next week.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – Also have about 40 more Multiplayer Titles to add to the database that I have personally 100% confirmed and these should go up today.

What’s next:
Assassin’s Creed II and then who knows what. Probably clean up Borderlands and get some more guides for that and see what else is out there and coming out.

Any suggestions?

I’ve give priority to Ratchet & Clank and then Modern Warfare 2 over Borderlands.

Borderlands is a great game but the in-game map and on-screen navigation make it pretty straightforward. I’ll continue to do mission guides but they will be slow to come and will be non-commentary to save me some time.

Expect Ratchet & Clank to be done this week.

I am doing Modern Warfare 2 Intel, Missions, Achievements, and Spec Ops guides also.

Batman: Added a Mano-A-Mano achievement video and also cleaned up the formatting and text on the achievement page.
SAW: Puzzles for Case 5 are up. Encoding took longer then expected so the rest of the game’s puzzles and videos will be up tomorrow.

Videos for Cases 4 & 5 are uploading to the Tube now.
Puzzles for Cases 5, 6, & 7 will be up this afternoon.
Videos for Cases 6 & 7 (including both endings) will be uploaded in the tomorrow morning. [Need to do audio and encode]

I am changing all the guides over from Pages to Posts for more control and so they pop on the front page so people know what is new right away.

This is going to have the short term effect of having a LOT of old guides pop up on the front page as I re-create these pages. Old pages should 301 redirect to the new page but drop me a line on the Contact form if anything appears to be broken.
