After you save Jackson from the burning building the very next thing you do is enter the barn. Let the cow live for an achievement. The crate is on the back right.

As you leave the barn you will get a scene where Jackson is running from the soldiers. The first of two secrets in the line of houses is in the 3rd house down the line behind the desk on the first floor.

The second of two secrets in this line of houses is in the second to last house up the ladder in the attic.

When you finally enter your home and go up the main stairs it is on the left of the locked double doors.

After the cutscene about you mother you head out to the balcony. Get the secret from the crate on the right BEFORE jumping off. If you forget you can reload checkpoint.
